A By-No-Means-Complete List of Links to
Recommended Literary Magazines
A list of worthwhile literary markets, magazines and websites.
Bohemians
of the Latin Quarter
The complete text of Henri Murger’s book which inspired Puccini’s La
Boheme. See the opera first.
The
Collected Works of William Shakespeare
Great internal search engine and the words … words … words.
Everyone Who’s
Anyone In Adult Trade Publishing
This is one of the the funnier goddamned things we’ve read lately. While it is
tangentially a semi-useful resource on the publishing industry, it is mostly a
record of the bipolar efforts of the site’s owner to get his work
published/represented.
The Fine Arts Work Center in
Provincetown
The FAWC is an internationally renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to
providing a supportive and nurturing environment for emerging artists and
writers. Features a winter fellowship program and a summer workshop program.
Great place to visit and learn.
RhymeZone
Shakespeare Search
Another site that allows one to search the Bard with or without veiled lids.
Word and Poetry WebRings
Self explanatory.
Zoetrope Virtual Studio
The natural offspring of the old Zoetrope Writer’s Workshop. A gathering of
creative minds … and others. Contains discussion boards, private offices,
chat, and online submission forums for short stories, screenplays, and all
things cinematic (even rooms for actors and producers). Highly recommended.
